The ECCLESIASTICAL STATES are:

1^st Pilgrimage Church: All of the Christians who still live on Earth belong to her and we are on a pilgrimage to Heaven.

2^nd Triumphant Church: This is the state of Christians who have already seen God in heaven and intercede for those of us who are still on Earth.

3^rd Purgative Church: This is the situation of those who die for God but who are imperfectly purified. They undergo purification which is necessary to enable them to enter and relish Heaven.
